Daily Chocolate (Vergennes, VT)

We've worked with Daily Chocolate multiple times when sourcing our chocolate for a variety of Quagsire treats during Acquire The Sire shows.

Dawn's first foray into chocolate was in the mid '90s at Lake Champlain Chocolates. During her three years there she created some of the factory's finer chocolates, produced entirely by hand, including many sculptures and other decorative pieces. After moving to NYC to pursue her theatrical career, Dawn continued to make chocolate both professionally for El Eden in the East Village, and privately through her own company cocoSNAP!

Daily Chocolate strives on sustainable and ethical sourcing of chocolate from the equatorial farmers of West Africa and South America who grow the magical Theobroma Cacao plants that give us chocolate. They promise to source ethically, and work with companies who comply with International standards, to end child and slave labor, and to pay these hard working farm families a fair wage.

Unknown Arts (Burlington, VT)

Our first run of t-shirts were printed in partnership with Unknown Arts using 100% ethically sourced cotton.

Founded in October 2009, and taught and guided by artists and veteran printers, we began to print our weird ideas and inside jokes on t-shirts. While some of those old t-shirts have been lost and forgotten in time, our newly acquired skills and our appetite for art have remained. As we continued to develop our knowledge and abilities, Unknown Arts was formed.

Through years of progress, we have come to find that printing with perfection and consistency is tough! So we make the utmost effort to have a high standard of quality by continually keeping our equipment and skills up to date. Using harmless, soy-based chemicals to clean our ink and stretching our own mesh to control the tension of our screens are two of the many ways we make sure every print is done cleanly and professionally. We also constantly test out new screens, inks, software, t-shirts, and even tape and sponges as part of our standard routine.

Brio Coffeeworks (Burlington, VT)

We use Brio's world class beans to add a bit of pizzazz to our treats at the Acquire the Sire shows (decaf of course because we don't want to be liable for your child's inevitable caffeine addiction).

Spearheaded by Magda and Nate Van Dusen, you won't find a more dedicated group of coffee professionals than their small team. They're working hard every day to make sure that our roasting practices reflect the latest thinking in the field of specialty coffee. This means making the best of our memberships in the Specialty Coffee Association, Barista Guild of America, and Coffee Roaster's Guild, attending trainings and reading everything that they can get our hands on.
